This college was established
in the year 2001 with a view to provide quality
education. The institution is a creation of
Educational Entrepreneurs, who have been in
the education field for more than a decade and
a half.
The college started with three branches and
has grown annually by adding undergraduate courses
in Engineering.
In the year 2005 Nalla Malla Reddy Education
Society, under the stewardship of Sri Nalla
Malla Reddy, an economic wizard and an entrepreneur
of great vision has taken over the reigns of
the educational institution and renamed it as
Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering college. Renaming
it as Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College,
B.Tech courses in ECE, CSE, IT, EEE and Mechanical
Engineering are being offered with a total sanctioned
intake of 420 students. Also M. Tech. programmes
in VLSI System Design, Embedded Systems; and
Computer Science with an sanctional intake of
18 each are being run. Further Masters programmes
in computer Applications (MCA) and Business
Administration (MBA) with an intake of 60 each
are added in the year 2005-06 and 2007-08 respectively.
The basic philosophy of the Institute is to
provide quality technical education with though
practical knowledge.
The college is setup amidst lush green natural
surroundings with a true pearly white building.

The Nalla Malla
Reddy Engineering College is located at Divya
Nagar, Near Narapally, 16th km. on Warangal
Road., (6 km. from Uppal Bus Depot) Hyderabad.
Surrounded by scenic lush green pollution-free
area, NMREC operates from a five-storied building
complex of about 2,10,000 sq.ft. The college
campus consisting of spacious class rooms, well
equipped laboratories with the latest equipment,
modern computer laboratories, seminar halls
and conference rooms far exceed AICTE requirements.
These facilities and the college environment
create and strengthen the learning process in
the college.

The
library at NMREC is a pride of the college with
the latest text books and reference volumes,
and current National and International journals.
All students have easy access to the text and
reference books and other audio-visual study-aids,
such as CDs and cassettes. With an inspiring

NMREC
operates a State-Of–The Art English laboratory.
This facility will focus on improving and perfecting
the written and spoken language skills of each
student and fine tune their communication skills
in order to prepare them to face real life situations
with confidence.

Discipline
of body and mind is a key factor and a necessity
for success in life. Our former Principals,
Col. G.B. Sethi and Prof. B. Gopal Reddy laid
a strong foundation of discipline in our college.
Our current Principal, Prof. V. Siva Rama Prasad
has pledged to build on these strong foundations
laid by earlier Principals, and cultivate and
motivate the students with utmost discipline.
Curriculum
and the Degree Programs: The Avenues to Success
At NMREC, we
offer Baccalaureate programs (B. Tech) in •

intake is 420.
We offer MCA, MBA and M.Tech ECE - VLSI Designs
at the post-graduation level. Also we have plans
to start some more M.Tech courses with the approval
of appropriate authorities.
There is continuous evaluation of the students
as well as the teachers. The students are graded
in internals and other tests conducted as per
the almanac. The students also evaluate their
teachers through feedbacks.
The college replicates skill enhancement programs
as suggested by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological
University, the affiliating university.

In
the near future, an e-classroom shall be added
on the campus to modernize the curriculum and
the instructional process. This facility, when

Auditorium

The
Auditorium at NMREC is the pride of the college.
The college envisions guest lectures, expert
lectures by well known experts in the academe
and industry so as to expose and familiarize
our graduates with current and futures trends
in industry and prepare them to enter the workforce.
The auditorium fulfills such needs in additions
to helping facilitate student seminars etc.
Extra-Curricular
Activities:
NMREC
has set a new benchmark in terms of the podium
and stadium. We have green hedges, goal posts,
pitch, and basketball rinks.
We will soon have NCC and NSS units which will
train our students to be productive, responsible
and contributing citizens of the society.
Tutorial
Classes
Tutorial classes
will be held to help students to improve their
understanding of their subjects. At NMREC, education
is not confined only to the curriculum. We introduce
the students to various utility subjects such
as, languages and communication skills. Lecturers
allocate additional class times to help students
refine their understanding of these subjects.
The
college has plans to give coaching to GRE, TOEFL
and other competitive tests in which experts
in the field will train the students.
Dynamic
Leadership:
To implement and materialize
the vision and aspirations of Nalla Malla Reddy
Education Society under the stewardship of Sri
Nalla Malla Reddy, NMREC has assembled an impressive
array of faculty members and heads of departments
who have many years of academic and / or industrial
experience with many of them holding doctorate
degrees.
To lead the
committed effort of the faculty to reach excellence,
the management has recently appointed Dr. V.
Siva Rama Prasad as the Principal of the college.
A graduate of Science holding masters degree
in Mathematics, Dr. Prasad has obtained Ph.D
from Andhra University in 1971. Adjudging his
Ph.D thesis as the best submitted to Andhra
University during 1971 and 1972, he was awarded
a Gold medal for the same. With over 36 years
of teaching and research experience he has supervised
the research work of 22 candidates for Ph.D
and 13 candidates for M.Phil from Osmania University.
Also he has published 35 research papers in
International and national journals; and is
an author/editor for over 30 books at different
levels both in English and Telugu media. He
is a recipient of A.P. Scientist Award in 2002,
Sri Sanjeevaraya Sarma Ganith Award in 2000
and is a Fellow of A. P. Akademi of Sciences.
Further Dr. Prasad has served as principal,
University College of Science, Osmania University
for about 5 years and also as Incharge Dean,
Faculty of Science at O.U.
The
management and the faculty are excited by Dr.
Prasad’s addition to NMREC and look forward
to bright future under his leadership.
