The department of Information Technology was established in the year 2001 with the objective of dissemination of knowledge in the fields of Information Technology. Current intake of the Department is 60 students.
The department aims at imparting technical knowledge to update their skills necessary to bridge the gap between institute and industrial requirements. The department is concerned in developing soft skills in addition to regular academic work.

The strength of the department lies with highly qualified and experienced faculty members in various fields of Information Technology and Computer Science, while the faculty members constantly strive to be abreast of rapid advances in the field by frequently involving in regular industry-academia interaction.
