At the out set it gives me great pleasure to present a brief report of the JNTU D Zone Tournament. Our management encouraged our department and given this opportunity of conducting the JNTU D Zone Intercollegiate Tournament at our college which has allotted by the JNTU Sports Council. W e conducted all D Zone PD’s meeting 1/12/10 and decided the dates. In D Zone 95 to 100 colleges are there. We extended our Invitations to all the colleges for there participation out of 100 colleges 25 colleges registered their entries in various events.

In volleyball 24 men and 6 women in Basket ball 16 men and 5 women, in throw ball 12 teams in foot ball 18 teams, in T.T. 16 men and 12 women and in Badminton 24 men and 16 women teams participated and exhibited their talents in disciplined manner. We have conducted this tournament on knock out bases. Our Secretary Sri Nalla Malla Reddy garu inaugurated the tournament and we felicitated an eminent sports personality Mr. Nugapuri Ramesh garu an Indian athletic coach. Our management gives us a free hand to arrange individual prizes for all the events they have also advised to arrange certificates and trophy’s for all the events in Memory of Sri Nalla Sai Reddy garu, father of our Secretary and we have also arranged transportation facility to all the participants. All the managements and Physical Directors of various colleges in D Zone extended their whole hearted cooperation in feeding their teams to make this tournament a grand success. With blessings of our Management and the able guidance of our Principal and with our NMRIANS strong support we were able to conduct this tournament in a systematic manner.

This is 2nd time that we have conducted JNTU tournaments. JNTU sports council may be knowing our management’s contribution towards sports and games. So they must utilize our management by allotting south zone meets in future. For this smooth conduct of this tournament we have invited qualified referees from various associations. With their sincere efforts we have conducted the tournament and made it a grand success. Our oraganizing committee members and sub-committee members and volunteers helped for the grand success of the tournament.
