Samishti-08 a college annual fest is organized at NMREC on 28th & 29th of March, 2008. This fest is organized to bring out the latent talents of the students and staff. The students participated in a competition to create the poster and select a suitable title for the fest. They have named the annual fest as Samishti and designed a wonderful poster showing the children playing and a hand with each finger symbolizing a competition. Various sports and games competitions are conducted to both staff and students. On the days of fest, a number of literary and cultural competitions are conducted. Competitions like mono-action and mime triggered a lot of enthusiasm. Treasure – hunt was the much sought after game. More than hundred teams participated in it.

     On 29th March, 2008 a valedictory function was organized Prof.K.Jayashankar, Former Vice-Chancellor, Kakatiya University, Warangal and the Chief Guest of the evening Prof. N.S.Dileep, Secretary, Sports Council, JNTU, Hyderabad, Ex. MLC Kapilavayee Dilp Kumar, Mr.S.M. Arif, Chief Coach SAAP and Dronacharya Awardee Mrs.J.J. Shoba, Olympian Athlete and Arjun Awardee, Sri Nalla Malla Reddy garu, Secretary and the architect of Nalla Malla Reddy Educational Society (NMRES) & Smt. Sandhyavali Kethireddy, Chairperson, NMRES, were guests of honour. Prof. Shiva Ram Prasad, Principal, Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College was the presiding guest. Guests expressed their trust that this college would flourish very well in future. After the prize distribution, a cultural programme was organized to showcase the talents of the students.
