The Engineering Exploration for Sustainability – Project Expo 2025 at Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College (NMREC) was held on 19th April 2025, filled with great enthusiasm and active participation. The event brought together first-year students and faculty members in a vibrant celebration of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.
B.Tech first year students showcased their talent by presenting projects addressing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting their commitment to solving real-world challenges through engineering solutions. The expo featured innovative projects, collaborative efforts, and opportunities for students to engage, learn, and network — fostering a strong spirit of curiosity and collaboration.
Some of the featured student projects included:
- Smart Kheti – An automated IoT-based robot that monitors and nourishes plants independently.
- Smart Safety Window System – A sensor-driven safety mechanism designed to rescue people trapped in vehicles.
- Sustainable Agricultural Practices – Techniques aimed at enhancing soil fertility and ensuring food security through the use of organic matter.
- Automatic Fire Fighting Robot – An Arduino-powered robot designed to detect and respond to fire emergencies.
- Eco Bricks – A sustainable solution to transform non-biodegradable plastic waste into usable building materials.
Platforms like the Engineering Exploration for Sustainability – Project Expo serve as catalysts for young minds to experiment, innovate, and excel. It not only celebrates the spirit of engineering but also instils a sense of responsibility toward building a sustainable future
