Entrepreneurship Development Cell – NMREC

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College (Autonomous) was inaugurated on 1 st September 2012. It was formed with an aim of promoting entrepreneurship among the engineering graduates, new innovations useful to the society and to encourage youth for self-employment. Over these 13 years, many programs like field visits, interaction with successful entrepreneurs and visit to industrial exhibitions were organised. The various activities organized by Entrepreneurship Cell of this esteemed institute had helped 40 students to become successful entrepreneurs in different industries.

Events organized during 2022-23

  • A workshop on Problem Solving and Ideation” was organised  at NMREC on 12th September 2022 for CSE, AI&ML students.
  • A program on “Novel Manufacturing Trend & 3D Printing for Industry 4.0” was organised  at NMREC on 9th Nov 2022 for ME students.
  • A workshop on Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a career Opportunity-at NMREC on 17th Nov 2022 for all B.Tech first year students.
  • A field visit for Problem Identification at HITEX Exhibition centre ,Hyderabad was organised for ME students on 1st and 2nd December 2022.
  • A field visit for Innovations in Cold Storage Division at HITEX Exhibition centre ,Hyderabad was organised for ME students on 3rd  December 2022.
  • A visit to Telangana Information Technology Association TITA GLOBAL CONNECT, T-HUB, Hyderabad on 16th December 2022.
  • A program on standards specified in corporate average fuel economy for vehicles and E-fuels was organised for ME and EEE students on 17th December 2022.
  • A program on Business Innovation and Value Appropriation at CFDM-NMREC for the students of ME and MBA on 3rd Feb 2023.
  • A program on Fintech Trends and Opportunities for Professionals was organised for MBA students on 27th April 2023.
  • A field visit for “Innovations and Startups in Renewable Energy Business” to HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad was organised for ME and EEE students on 28th and 29th April 2023.

Events organised during 2023-24

  • An interaction with successful Entrepreneur Mr. Surya Praveen, General Manager-VFX multinational company- Rotomaker was organised for all branches of B.Tech on 21st Nov 2023.
  • A workshop was organised on “Entrepreneurship as a career” in association with EDII, Ahmedabad for branches of B.Tech on 22nd June 2024
