1. THINK – PAIR – SHARE

The “think-pair-share” method is a cooperative learning strategy commonly used in classrooms to encourage active participation and deeper understanding of a topic.

2. ROLE PLAY

The role-play method is an innovative teaching technique where students act out or simulate real-life scenarios, assuming specific roles or characters relevant to the topic being studied.

3. ICT/SMARTBOARD

The SMART Board teaching method involves the use of interactive whiteboards, such as the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, as a tool for instruction and learning in the classroom.

4. BRAINSTORMING

Brainstorming is a group creativity technique used to generate a large number of ideas or solutions to a problem or question within a short period of time.

5. E-BRIDGE ACTIVITY

An “e-bridge activity” could potentially refer to an electronic or technology-based activity designed to bridge gaps in learning, communication, or understanding.

Employability bridge activity for students in their classes

6. HARDWARE SIMULATION & IT WORKSHOP

Hardware simulation refers to the process of emulating the behaviour, functionality, or characteristics of physical hardware using software-based models or virtual environments.

7. CLASS POLLS

The class polls teaching method involves using polls or surveys to gather feedback, opinions, or responses from students on various topics, questions, or issues related to the lesson or curriculum.

8. CHART PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION

Chart preparation and presentation is a teaching method that involves creating visual aids, such as charts, graphs, diagrams, or posters, to illustrate concepts, organize information, and facilitate learning in the classroom.

9. LMS USAGE

LMS allows professors to create and administer online assignments, quizzes, and exams for their engineering courses. Students can submit their assignments electronically, and professors can provide feedback and grades through the platform.

10. FLIPPED CLASSROOM

The flipped classroom teaching method reverses the traditional model of instruction by delivering instructional content outside of the classroom, typically through videos or online resources, and using class time for active learning activities, discussions, and application of knowledge.

Flipped classroom activity has been conducted for EEE -60 students for the subject. Before arriving at the class, students were advised to read up on the subject given topic and its applications. They were given access to study material, lecture videos, and Power Point presentations to better understand the subject. They were also encouraged to ask questions or seek clarification during the class, ensuring a deeper understanding of the material. Continuing the topic study, students worked through tutorial problems related to the content that was presented in class. Some students struggled with the concepts, but with the help of faculty, they were able to gain a deeper understanding of the concept.

11. JIGSAW ACTIVITY

Simulation of 1-phase full bridge Controlled Converter fed DC Motors Using MATLAB/ SIMULINK, VLABS by IITB

Few juggles and hiccups were there in the implementation of this activity. Few failed to study the concept hence were not able to prove themselves by not expressing their views in full flow. Some of them skipped classes. Some of them kept quiet. Somehow the initial implementation would be considered as huge victory to me and students as well. The shortcomings and struggles will be avoided in the future activities. Feedbacks would be taken immediately after the completion of activities. The complex concepts would be dealt with similar sort of activities for the ensuing semester as well. Also rewards would be announced for the best opinions and apt ones to encourage student participation This also enhances the students analytical and presentation skills if they are accustomed to such type of these activities. It also boosts the confidence and morale of the students and pushes them harder to go for voicing out their opinions in full flow.             Finally this implementation was a booster to me which gave me the much needed flip and kick to me for delivering the best to my students. This also made me closer to the students and they started connecting socially and emotionally due to which I was able to find out their problems and provide feasible solutions.

12. COURSE LEVEL PROJECT

Power Semi-Conductor Based Speed Control of Universal Motor In this project, universal motor speed control system with a PWM AC chopper is introduced. Operation principles of the control system, which is realized with a microcontroller, are presented. Mathematical model of the universal motor and PWM AC chopper is derived and the behavior of the system is studied by simulation. Mains power factor, motor speed, and current are analyzed for different load conditions. Harmonic analysis of the motor current and voltage are given and compared with phase control technique. Experiments are made to verify the effectiveness of the system. According to the experimental results, both simple hardware design and good speed response can be attained.
